Trip report: 5/08 Ricky Tims seminar Coming soon: more quilt photos! The Guild "The Wiltwyck Quilters Guild is a non-profit organization. The purpose of this organization shall be to preserve the tradition and the history of quiltmaking, as well as to foster awareness of and to be receptive to creative innovation in the art, to promote and sponsor interest and appreciation in all areas of quiltmaking among our members and the general public; and to promulgate friendship and the exchange of ideas." — from Article II of the Bylaws The guild meets on the third Saturday of each month from September through May (second Saturday in December), upstairs at the Ulster Town Hall. Coffee time begins at 9:30 AM, then the meetings start at 10 AM. The Town Hall is located near Kingston, New York — just off the Enterprise Drive exit of Route 209 in Lake Katrine. Members of the guild create quilted items that they donate to the community throughout the year. See Community Quilts for details. The
guild presents a biennial quilt show in even-numbered
years. We'll hold our next show in October 2008
at SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge, New York.
